Introduced for ICFF 2019
I have been trying to design an alternative to the classic butterfly for reinforcing checks in slab tables for quite some time. I came up with this concept when working on a custom multi piece table for a client earlier in 2019.
This table is a massive single slab of oxidized, big leaf maple 120x48x29h
Shown on my water's rising base, which is blackened cold rolled steel with a wooden upper section.
